The principle
Every refund trigger below is a countable fact — a date, a file count, a number of slides. None of them require anyone to judge whether the work was good enough.
That cuts both ways, and deliberately so. If we miss a deadline or ship fewer than fourteen slides, you get your money back without arguing about it. If the deck meets the specification and you simply prefer a different look, that is what the two revision rounds are for, not a refund.
Full refund
Issued automatically, no request needed, if any of these is true:
The deck is not delivered within five business days of a complete intake.
Fewer than fourteen slides are delivered, a file is missing — PDF, editable .pptx, the written VC persona analysis, or, on the Fundraise Pack, the investor-question brief.
An in-scope revision round is not returned within four business days of your request.
What "complete intake" means
Your existing deck or content in a readable format, your company name, your funding stage, and your target raise amount. The delivery clock starts when all four arrive — not when you paid. If your intake is incomplete you will be told within 24 hours exactly what is missing.
Partial refund
You cancel after submitting your intake but before the first delivery. Work has begun by that point, which is what the retained half covers.
You cancel before submitting any intake. Nothing has been produced, so nothing is retained.
No refund
After the first revision round has been delivered. Requesting a revision is an acknowledgement that a deck meeting the specification was received.
On the basis of aesthetic preference or a subjective assessment of quality. Design taste is not a defect. We state this plainly because it is the most common reason people ask.
On the basis of investor response or fundraising outcome. We make no promise, and imply none, that a deck will secure meetings or capital. A deck does not raise money — you do.
Unused revision rounds. They do not convert to credit and do not reduce the price.
Deck Maintenance
The subscription is refunded a month at a time. It is optional, opted into at checkout, and never affects the one-off purchase.
You sent the month's figures and the updated PDF and .pptx were not returned within five business days of their arrival.
You cancel a paid month before sending that month's figures. Nothing has been produced, so nothing is retained.
A month whose cycle has been delivered, or a month that passed without figures being sent. Unused months do not roll over.
Cancelling mid-cycle after sending the month's figures. We finish and deliver that cycle; the month stands. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month already paid for, and no further month is charged.
Cancelling or refunding a Maintenance month is not a ground for refunding the deck. How to cancel is in §5 of the deliverable specification.
The free scorecard
Costs nothing, so there is nothing to refund. It exists precisely so you can judge the quality of our thinking, and see one slide rebuilt, before spending $699.
How to request one
- Email support@fourteenslides.com from the address on the order
- State which trigger above applies
- We respond within one business day
- Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within five business days. Your bank may take a few days more
Please contact us first. If a trigger above applies, we refund without argument — a chargeback costs us a fee on top of the refund and achieves nothing you would not get by emailing.
A chargeback raised without prior contact will be contested with the delivery record, the timestamped terms you accepted at checkout, and this policy.
EU and UK customers
By purchasing and asking us to start immediately, you expressly consent to work beginning before the 14-day withdrawal period expires, and you acknowledge that the right of withdrawal is lost once the deliverable has been supplied. Before we deliver, the cancellation terms above apply.
